Every garden and outdoor space is different and requirements may vary. The following is a guideline of the general process :
Initial consultation to assess the site and discuss the possibilities and potential of the garden.
A quotation with outline prices for the work discussed.
A return visit to survery the site, take photos etc.
A design drawing for discussion.
Introduction to reliable and trusted landscapers for the work involved.
Overseeing the project and regular liason with the client.
Ordering of plants from the planting plan from trade specialists at competitive prices. Organizing planting.In summary, to provide the client with a beautiful outdoor space that they will enjoy for years to come.
Established in 1999, Kate studied with the Open College of the Arts and gained Diplomas 1 + 2 , while working concurrently at a local RHS registered Garden and Plant Nursery. Passionate about shape and form in Design and Planting, she also has a love of history, architecture and nature. This plays an integral part of her work.
Kate has a wealth of plant knowledge, absorbed throughout her life, from family gardens as a child, to her own gardens over the years and all the numerous gardens she has done professionally. She understands her plants - what they like and how they grow.
Several magazines have featured her gardens, such as Kent Life, The Journal of The Society of Garden Designers,House Beautiful, The Wealden Times.. She has also won Awards and had gardens feature in local Open Garden schemes.
The link between House and Garden play an important part in the overall process. This process should be a happy and fulfilling one. This is achieved by a good relationship with the clients and also with the landscapers.
